Synopsis

The show follows brothers Sam Winchester and Dean Winchester, played by Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles respectively, who travel across the country in a black 1967 Chevy Impala investigating and combating paranormal events and other unexplained occurrences, many of them based on American urban legends and folklore, as well as classic supernatural creatures such as vampires, werewolves, and ghosts.

Eric Kripke, the show's creator, cites Neil Gaiman's The Sandman and American Gods as influences on Supernatural, along with American Werewolf in London and Joseph Campbell's The Hero's Journey.^[5]

The plot of the show has evolved over time, beginning initially with Sam and Dean looking for their father throughout most of Season One. Once they find him, the show becomes about killing Azazel, the yellow-eyed demon responsible for the death of their mother. This is accomplished, but not until after Azazel's plans are completed and a door to Hell is opened, although only momentarily, releasing a horde of demons into the world. This event also sees the death of Sam, who is subsequently resurrected by Dean selling his soul at the end of Season Two. In Season Three, the plot of the show focuses on trying to save Dean from his deal. Along the way, they meet a demon named Ruby, who has an interest in Sam and claims to be able to help save Dean, as well as Bela Talbot, an "acquirer" and seller of occult objects who is constantly a thorn in their side. The brothers eventually manage to track down the demon who holds Dean's contract, a powerhouse named Lilith who also wants Sam dead. However, Sam and Ruby ultimately fail to save Dean, who, as of the end of Season Three, is in Hell.

Death Note (epsd 1-37)

The series is about Light Yagami, an extremely intelligent young man who resents the crime and corruption in the world. His life undergoes a drastic change when he discovers a mysterious notebook, known as the "Death Note", lying on the ground. The Death Note's instructions claim that if a human's name is written within it, that person shall die. Light is initially skeptical of the notebook's authenticity, but after experimenting with it, Light realizes that the Death Note is real. After meeting with the previous owner of the Death Note, a shinigami named Ryuk, Light seeks to become "the God of the New World" by passing his judgement on those he deems to be evil or who get in his way.

Soon, the number of inexplicable deaths of reported criminals catches the attention of the International Police Organization and a mysterious detective known only as "L". L quickly learns that the serial killer, dubbed by the public as "Kira" (キラ, "Kira"? derived from the Japanese pronunciation of the word "killer"), is located in Japan. L also concludes that Kira can kill people without laying a finger on them. Light realizes that L will be his greatest nemesis, and a game of psychological cat and mouse between the two begins.

Yoko Misaki (Aya Ueto) was a boyish girl who was raised among three mothers after losing her mother at young age. She enjoyed the company of boys over girls, and formed a rock band among her male friends.

One day, a member of her band and someone who she admired, Tsukasa, had decided to leave for Tokyo. Misaki and her band member went to the airport to bid Tsukasa farewell, and that’s when Tsukasa jokingly said that he would love to see Misaki in flight attendant’s uniform.

Misaki somehow took Tsukasa’s joke seriously and went for a flight attendant interview, and somehow got accepted into a class, and that’s when the trouble starts…

The drama was quite a hit when it was aired in Japan, with two special episodes being produced in 2007 and 2008 respectively by popular demand.

The drama is a bit nonsense, funny and heart warming. The storyline is just ok, but it gives the audiences some lessons on how flight attendants are trained, and the importance and responsibilities of the cabin crew besides serving coffee and tea.

Aya Ueto and Ryo Nishikido look good as always, but it’s the supporting cast that provides the sparks. Veterans like Miki Maya, Fumiyo Kohinata and Mantaro Koichi show that good acting still outshines good looks for most of the time.

Ghost Whisperer (season 2)

Ghost Whisperer is an episodic series that follows the life of Melinda Gordon, a young woman who has the ability to see and communicate with the dead. Each episode deals with one or more ghosts seeking Melinda's help in relaying a message or completing a task that will put the spirit to rest, and allow them to "cross over" into The Light, a metaphor presented by the show as its conception of Heaven. Crossing over is when a spirit leaves earth and goes to heaven.

Despite the episodic structure of the show, plot lines that span two or three episodes (normally during season openers and finishers) develop and progress throughout the rest of the season. The first season arc introduced the show's first antagonist, Romano, a negative entity in a black hat, who attempted to do the exact opposite of Melinda and gather earthbound souls and bring them to the Dark Side. The story climaxed in the season finale when a plane crashed in Grandview, and Melinda and Romano both attempted to sway the souls to the Light, and staying on earth, respectively. Her Best Friend Andrea Marino was killed in the plane crash and, in a story that would carry over to the second season, was being swayed by Romano to stay earthbound.

In the second season, two new characters (Delia Banks and Professor Rick Payne) are introduced, both of whom, by season's end, come to learn of Melinda's power and become survivors that ghosts want messages passed to through Melinda. The second season arc revolves around the thinning "veil" between the living and the dead, evident in certain situations in second season episodes. By the end of the season, a second Ghost Whisperer was introduced. His arrival in Grandview sets the final events of a disastrous prophecy in motion, and the strengthening of the dark side over the Light.

The beginning of each episode normally revolves around Melinda first encountering the ghost(s) that will be crossed over in the episode. In their normally brief appearances, Melinda collects clues she later researches. After gaining a significant piece of information that drives the episode's plot further, the ghost(s) normally open up to her, and tell her how it is she can help them find peace. Often, the messages the ghosts want Melinda to pass are confusing and as a result, she is normally met with questions and scepticism by those she is trying to give the message to the families, friends and lovers of the ghosts. By the end of each episode, Melinda is usually able to complete her task and cross the ghost(s) from the respective episode over.

Volume Two: Generations

Season two began in the United States on the NBC network and in Canada on the CTV network on September 24, 2007 but featured only 11 out of the planned 24 episodes, due to the WGA writers' strike. The show aired on Mondays at 9:00pm^[23] and consisted of the second volume in the series, titled "Generations", taking place during March 2007.^[24] Season two ended with its finale on December 3, 2007.^[25] Season 2 aired in the UK on the BBC Two network on Thursdays at 9:00pm, from April 24, 2008, until July 3, 2008. As British television lacks peak seasons and repeat seasons, new shows regularly appear throughout the year. ^[26] As with the first Season, all BBC screenings were in digital widescreen with no commercial interruptions or on-screen network logos. The second season begins four months after the events of Kirby Plaza. Peter Petrelli, Matt Parkman, Nathan Petrelli, and Sylar have all survived the events of the season one finale, and are trying to return to ordinary lives despite their extraordinary abilities, with the exception of Sylar, who is on a quest to regain the use of his abilities. The main plot arc of "Generations" deals with the Company and its research on the Shanti virus. This research is explored through the Company's founders, whose identities are revealed, as well as through the effects of various strains of the virus on The Haitian, Niki Sanders, Sylar, and others. An amnesiac Peter Petrelli observes the potential devastation of the virus in a future New York City. The "heroes" ultimately come together in an attempt to stop the release of a deadly strain of the virus and avert a global pandemic.

Interwoven with the main plot are several secondary plots. These include Nathan Petrelli's recovery following the events at Kirby Plaza; the journey of new characters Maya and Alejandro from Honduras to the United States, and their interaction with a powerless Sylar; Claire and Noah Bennet and their family adapting to a new life in southern California; Claire's relationship with her boyfriend West; Monica Dawson discovering her powers in New Orleans, with the help of her cousin Micah; Matt Parkman's reunion with his estranged father, leading to discovery of new abilities; the Company's manipulation of Mohinder Suresh; Ando Masahashi trying to piece together what happened to Hiro Nakamura; and Hiro's journey to Feudal Japan, where he meets his childhood hero, Takezo Kensei.

Volume One: Genesis

Season began in the United States on the NBC network and in Canada on the CTV network on September 23, 2006 and featured 23 episodes. Season one consisted of the first 'volume' (episode), known as "Genesis."^[19] The series went on hiatus twice; first from December 4, 2006 to January 22, 2007,^[20] and again from March 5 to April 23, 2007,^[21] with the season finale airing on May 21, 2007.^[22] The action goes from October 2, 2006 to November 8, 2006. The first season began in the UK on February 19, 2007 initially only on the subscription TV channel Sci Fi UK, but all 23 episodes were soon repeated on a main over-the-air network, the commercial-free BBC Two network on Wednesdays at 9:00pm, from July 25, 2007, to December 5, 2007, sometimes with two episodes shown back-to-back on the same evening. All episodes on BBC Two were broadcast in digital widescreen and without commercial interruption or on-screen network logos and were followed immediately by Heroes Unmasked, a 15-minute behind-the-scenes documentary. Mohinder Suresh, a geneticist, continues his late father's research into the biological source of the change, while Noah Bennet represents a secret organization known only as the "Company".

While coping, each of the characters is drawn—willingly or not—into the Company's conspiracy to control superpowered people, and into a race to stop an explosion from destroying New York City, which would kill millions of its inhabitants. Throughout the season, the predatory stalkings of the serial killer Sylar and continued manipulations from casino-owner and mobster Mr. Linderman affect the characters directly and indirectly. Several characters' individual stories culminated in a climactic meeting of the characters at Kirby Plaza in New York. These stories included Peter Petrelli's abilities, Nathan's campaign for Congress, Claire Bennet's search for her biological parents, Hiro Nakamura's adventurous journeys, Niki Sanders' multiple personalities, and Isaac Mendez's precognitive visions.

Synopsis

Murase Aki is a typical OL (office lady), and is waiting for her boyfriend to return from studying architecture abroad. At this point in time however, he shows no sign of coming back. One day, Aki's friends who are determined to find her a new boyfriend, invite her to watch an ice hockey game. There she sees Halu for the first time.

After the game, Aki and her friends join the players for a party celebrating their victory. Aki, however, is not so excited to be there. When she leaves the party, she bumps into Halu, who was slightly injured from a fight. They exchange e-mail addresses and part.

The sparks of mutual attraction are ignited in a second encounter between Aki and Halu, arranged with the help of her friends shortly after a party.

Hyodo Yuichiro has come as a replacement for the team's coach who has been hospitalized. Halu has a lot of respect for the hospitalized coach. Unfortunately though, he can't stand Yuichiro's way of doing things. Bringing with him a lot of coaching experience from overseas, Yuichiro criticizes the former coach's strategies. Hotelier

Hotelier featured Bae Yong Jun, Song Yun Ah and Kim Seong Woo.

Bae Yong Jun's role as a Merger and Acquisition Specialist fits him as the role called for a handsome, fit, rich, reserved and protective portrayal. Yong Jun's acting in this drama was not as good as his portrayal as Jung san in another Korean drama, "Winter Sonata", in 2002. There are certain times you can almost sense that in Hotelier, he was struggling to act! I understand from another site that the role of Shin Dong Hyuk, the M&A Specialist from USA, was the first role that he took up after giving the entertainment world a rest for 3 years to pursue his universitiy studies. It was reported that he took up personal training in the US to polish his English in order to play the role of Dong Hyuk. Unfortunately, his English still came out "HORRIBLE" in the drama. Most of the time, when he spoke English, it was inaudible and faint. Nevertheless, he is a good method actor and did justice to the role of Shin Dong Hyuk, whose persistence in the pursuit of Song Yun Ah's character "Seo Jin Hyung" did materialise into success in the end.

Song Yun Ah's portrayal of Seo Jin Hyung was VERY GOOD and her acting won her the best actress award for this particular drama. Seo Jin Hyung was a manager in Hotel Seoul, a hotel in financial trouble, and she was a very dedicated worker whose untiring work, sweet smiles and personality made every other staff happy to work in the hotel. Her kindness and gentleness really shone through and she had a really soft heart, albeit a tough exterior (sometimes a lot of us can testify to having as well).

Seo Jin Hyung was a very innocent and naive girl sometimes and this was seen in the way that she did not grasp that Shin Dong Hyuk sent her 300 roses because he wanted to pursue her. She in turn thought that the 300 roses were a way of thanking her for her tour guide services rendered to him the day before! Her innocence was also portrayed in the way she ate her food (the scenes in the noodle house and McDonald's were really memorable).

Kim Seong Woo is a polished actor. He is a real natural in front of the screen. His portrayal as Tae Jun, the Hotel Seoul's General Manager is a perfect fit for him and he acted as the ex-boyfriend of Seo Jin Hyung. It is obvious even from the beginning that he carried a torch for Jin Hyung, but he lacked courage to express his feeling and did not do much to show his affection. In the end, he lost his love to Shin Dong Hyuk. His character of Tae Jun was the opposite of Shin Dong Hyuk. Where Tae Jun was unable to profess his love to Jin Hyung, Dong Hyuk was very vocal and expressed his love to Jin Hyung repeatedly! Tae Jun left Korea for USA when his job was on the line after a scandal and had no intention of returning, but Dong Hyuk came back for Jin Hyung after being forced to leave Korea.

The other supporting characters were equally good and well portrayed, and the whole drama really showed the workings of a hotel and how the people behind the scenes work together through thick and thin to make the hotel what it is.
